Section 6 The Arms Act, 1959 in Hindi and English
Section 6 The Arms Act, 1959:No person shall shorten the barrel of a firearm or convert an imitation firearm into a firearm unless he holds in this behalf a licence issued in accordance with the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder.
Explanation. ― In this section, the expression “imitation firearm” means anything which has the appearance of being a firearm, whether it is capable of discharging any shot, bullet or other missile or not.

आयुध अधिनियम, 1959 की धारा 6 का विवरण : - कोई भी व्यक्ति अग्न्यायुध की नाल को छोटा या किसी नकली अग्न्यायुध को अग्न्यायुध में संपरिवर्तित तब के सिवाय न करेगा, जब कि वह इस अधिनियम या तद्धीन बनाए गए नियमों के उपबंधों के अनुसार निकाली गई अनुज्ञप्ति इस निमित्त धारित करता हो ।
स्पष्टीकरण - इस धारा में “नकली अग्न्यायुध” पद से कोई भी ऐसी चीज अभिप्रेत है जो अग्न्यायुध जैसी प्रतीत होती हो भले ही वह कोई छर्रा, गोली या अन्य अस्त्र छोड़ने के योग्य हो या न हो ।
