Section 170 The Army Act, 1950  :Temporary custody of offender. Where a sentence of transportation or imprisonment is directed to be undergone in a civil prison the offender may be kept in a military prison or in military custody or in any other fit place, till such time as it is possible send him to a civil prison.

सेना अधिनियम, 1950 की धारा 170 का विवरण :  - अपराधी की अस्थायी अभिरक्षा - जहां कि यह निदेश दिया गया है कि निर्वासन या कारावास का दण्डादेश सिविल कारागार में भोगा जाए, वहां अपराधी उस समय तक, जब तक कि उसे किसी सिविल कारागार में भेजना संभव न हो जाए, किसी सैनिक कारागार में या सैनिक अभिरक्षा में या किसी अन्य उचित स्थान में, रखा जा सकेगा।
