भारतीय संविदा अधिनियम, 1872 की धारा 3 का विवरण :  -  प्रस्थापनाओं की संसूचना, प्रतिग्रहण और प्रतिसंहरण -- प्रस्थापनाओं की संसूचना, प्रस्थापनाओं का प्रतिग्रहण और प्रतिस्थापनाओं तथा प्रतिग्रहणों का प्रतिसंहरण क्रमशः प्रस्थापना करने वाले, प्रतिग्रहण करने वाले या प्रतिसंहरण करने वाले पक्षकार के किसी ऐसे कार्य या लोप से हुआ समझा जाता है, जिसके द्वारा वह ऐसी प्रतिस्थापना, प्रतिग्रहण या प्रतिसंहरण को संसूचित करने का आशय रखता हो, या उसे संसूचित करने का प्रयास रखता हो।
