Section 29 The Army Act, 1950  :Immunity from arrest for debt.

(1) No person subject to this Act shall, so long as he belongs to the Forces, be liable to be arrested for

debt under any process issued by, or by the authority of, any civil or revenue court or revenue officer.

(2) The judge of any such court or the said officer may examine into any complaint made by such

person or his superior officer of the arrest of such person contrary to the provisions of this section and

may, by warrant under his hand, discharge the person, and award reasonable costs to the

complainant, who may recover those costs in like manner as he might have recovered costs awarded

to him by a decree against the person obtaining the process.

(3) For the recovery of such costs no court- fee shall be payable by the complainant.

सेना अधिनियम, 1950 की धारा 29 का विवरण :  -  ऋण के लिए गिरफ्तारी से उन्मुक्ति - (1) इस अधिनियम के अध्यधीन का कोई व्यक्ति ऋण के लिए तब तक, जब तक वह बल का अंग रहता है किसी सिविल या राजस्व न्यायालय या राजस्व आफिसर के द्वारा या प्राधिकार से निकाली गई किसी आदेशिका के अधीन गिरफ्तार किए जाने के दायित्व के अधीन नहीं होगा।

(2) ऐसे किसी न्यायालय का न्यायाधीश या उक्त आफिसर ऐसे व्यक्ति की इस धारा के उपबन्धों के प्रतिकूल गिरफ्तारी के किसी ऐसे परिवाद की, जो उस व्यक्ति या उसके वरिष्ठ आफिसर द्वारा किया जाए, छानबीन कर सकेगा और उस व्यक्ति को स्वहस्ताक्षरित अधिपत्र द्वारा उन्मोचित कर सकेगा और परिवादी को युक्तियुक्त खर्च अधिनिर्णीत कर सकेगा और परिवादी उस खर्च को उसी रीति से वसूल कर सकेगा जिससे वह आदेशिका अभिप्राप्त करने वाले व्यक्ति के विरुद्ध, डिक्री द्वारा उस अधिनिर्णीत खर्च वसूल करता।

(3) ऐसे खर्च की वसूली के लिए परिवादी द्वारा कोई भी न्यायालय फीस देय न होगी।
