Section 28 The Arms Act, 1959:

Whoever makes or attempts to make any use whatsoever of a firearm or an imitation firearm with intent to resist or prevent the lawful arrest or detention of himself or any other person shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years and with fine.

Explanation.― In this section the expression “imitation firearm” has the same meaning as in section 6.

आयुध अधिनियम, 1959 की धारा 28 का विवरण :  - जो कोई स्वयं अपनी या किसी अन्य व्यक्ति की विधिपूर्ण गिरफ्तारी या निरोध को प्रतिरुद्ध करने या रोकने के आशय से किसी अग्न्यायुध या नकली अग्न्यायुध को किसी भी उपेयाग में, चाहे वह कैसा ही क्‍यों न हो, लाएगा या लाने का प्रयत्न करेगा, वह कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि सात वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, तथा जुर्माने से दण्डनीय होगा ।

स्पष्टीकरण - इस धारा में “नकली अग्न्यायुध” पद का वही अर्थ है, जो धारा 6 में है ।
