Section 21 Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 :In a promissory note or bill of exchange the expressions “at sight" and "on presentment" means on demand. The expression “after sight" means in a promissory note, after presentment for sight, and, in a bill of exchange after acceptance, or noting for non-acceptance, or protest for non-acceptance.

परक्राम्य लिखत अधिनियम, 1881 की धारा 21 का विवरण :  -  वचन-पत्र या विनिमय-पत्र में “दर्शन पर” और “उपस्थापन पर” शब्दों से माँग पर अभिप्रेत है । “दर्शनोपरांत” शब्द से वचन-पत्र में दर्शनार्थ उपस्थापन के पश्चात् तथा विनिमय-पत्र में प्रतिग्रहण या अप्रतिग्रहण के लिए टिप्पण या अप्रतिग्रहण के लिए प्रसाक्ष्य के पश्चात् अभिप्रेत है।
