Section 196 Contract Act 1872 :Right of person as to acts done for him without his authority. Effect of ratification - Where acts are done by one person on behalf of another, but without his knowledge or authority, he may elect to ratify or to disown such acts. If he ratify them, the same effects will follow as if they had been performed by his authority.

भारतीय संविदा अधिनियम, 1872 की धारा 196 का विवरण :  -  किसी व्यक्ति का प्राधिकार के बिना किए गए कार्यों के बारे में अधिकार : अनुसमर्थन का प्रभाव -- जहाँ कि कार्य एक व्यक्ति द्वारा किसी अन्य व्यक्ति के निमित्त किन्तु उसके ज्ञान या प्राधिकार के बिना किए जाते हैं। वहाँ वह निर्वाचित कर सकेगा कि ऐसे कार्यों का अनुसमर्थन करे या अनंगीकरण करे। यदि वह उनका अनुसमर्थन करे तो उन कार्यों के वैसे ही परिणाम होगे मानो वे उसके प्राधिकार से किए गए थे।
