Section 179 Contract Act 1872 :Pledge where pawnor has only a limited interest - Where a person pledges goods in which he has only a limited interest, the pledge is valid to the extent of that interest. Suits by bailees or bailors against wrong-doers.

भारतीय संविदा अधिनियम, 1872 की धारा 179 का विवरण :  -  गिरवी जहाँ कि पणयमकार केवल परिसीमित हित रखता है -- जहाँ कि कोई व्यक्ति ऐसे माल को गिरवी रखता है जिसमें वह केवल परिसीमित हित रखना है वहाँ गिरवी उस हित के विस्तार तक विधिमान्य है।
