Section 165 Contract Act 1872 :Bailment by several joint owners - If several joint owners of goods bail them, the bailee may deliver them back to, or according to the directions of, one joint owner without the consent of all in the absence of any agreement to the contrary.

भारतीय संविदा अधिनियम, 1872 की धारा 165 का विवरण :  -कई संयुक्त स्वामियों द्वारा उपनिधान -- यदि माल के कई संयुक्त स्वामी उसे उपनिहित करें तो, किसी तत्प्रतिकूल करार के अभाव में, उपनिहिती सभी स्वामियों की सम्मति के बिना भी एक संयुक्त स्वामी को या उसके निदेशों के अनुसार माल वापस परिदत्त कर सकेगा।
