Section 163 Contract Act 1872 :Bailor entitled to increase or profit from goods bailed - In the absence of any contract to the contrary, the bailee is bound to deliver to the bailor, or according to his directions, any increase or profit which may have accrued from the goods bailed.

Illustration

A leaves a cow in the custody of B to be taken care of. The cow has a calf. B is bound to deliver the calf as well as the cow to A.

भारतीय संविदा अधिनियम, 1872 की धारा 163 का विवरण :  -  उपनिधाता उपनिहित माल में हुई वृद्धि या उससे हुए लाभ का हकदार -- तत्प्रतिकूल संविदा के अभाव में उपनिहिती वह वृद्धि या लाभ, जो उपनिहित माल से प्रोद्भूत हुआ हो, उपनिधाता को या उसके निदेशों के अनुसार, परिदत्त करने के लिए आबद्ध है।

दृष्टान्त

‘क’ एक गौ को देखभाल के लिए 'ख' की अभिरक्षा में छोड़ता है। गौ के बछड़ा पैदा होता है। ‘ख’ वह गौ और बछड़ा ‘क’ को परिदत्त करने के लिए आबद्ध है।
