Section 161 Contract Act 1872 :Bailee's responsibility when goods are not duly returned - If by the fault of the bailee, the goods are not returned, delivered or tendered at the proper time, he is responsible to the bailor for any loss, destruction or deterioration of the goods from that time.

भारतीय संविदा अधिनियम, 1872 की धारा 161 का विवरण : - जबकि माल सम्यक् रूप से वापस न किया जाए तब यनिहिती का उत्तरदायित्व -- यदि उपनिहिती के दोष से माल उचित समय पर वापस या परिदत्त या निविदत्त न किया जाए तो उस समय से माल की किसी भी हानि, नाश या क्षय के लिए वह उपनिधाता के प्रति उत्तरदायी है।
