Section 160 Evidence Act 1872 :Testimony to facts stated in document mentioned in section 159 -- A witness may also testify to facts mentioned in any such document as is mentioned in section 159, although he has no specific recollection of the facts themselves, if he is sure that the facts were correctly recorded in the document.
Illustration
A book-keeper may testify to facts recorded by him in books regularly kept in the course of business, if he knows that the books were correctly kept, although he has forgotten the particular transactions entered.

भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम, 1872 की धारा 160 का विवरण : - धारा 159 में वर्णित दस्तावेज में कथित तथ्यों के लिए परिसाक्ष्य -- कोई साक्षी किसी ऐसी दस्तावेज में, जैसी धारा 159 में वर्णित है, वर्णित तथ्यों का भी, चाहे उसे स्वयं उन तथ्यों का विनिर्दिष्ट स्मरण नहीं हो, परिसाक्ष्य दे सकेगा, यदि उसे यकीन है कि वे तथ्य उस दस्तावेज में ठीक-ठीक अभिलिखित थे।
दृष्टांत
कोई लेखाकार कारबार के अनुक्रम में नियमित रूप से रखी जाने वाली बहियों में उसके द्वारा अभिलिखित तथ्यों का परिसाक्ष्य दे सकेगा, यदि वह जानता हो कि बहियाँ ठीक-ठीक रखी गई थीं, यद्यपि वह प्रविष्ट किए गए विशिष्ट संव्यवहारों को भूल गया हो।
