Section 154 Evidence Act 1872 :Question by party to his own witness -- (1) The Court may, in its discretion, permit the person who calls a witness to put any questions to him which might be put in cross-examination by the adverse party.
(2) Nothing in this section shall disentitle the person so permitted under subsection (1), to rely on any part of the evidence of such witness.

भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम, 1872 की धारा 154 का विवरण : - पक्षकार द्वारा अपने ही साक्षी से प्रश्न -- (1) न्यायालय उस व्यक्ति को, जो साक्षी को बुलाता है, उस साक्षी से कोई ऐसे प्रश्न करने की अपने विवेकानुसार अनुज्ञा दे सकेगा, जो प्रतिपक्षी द्वारा प्रतिपरीक्षा में किए जा सकते हैं।
(2) इस धारा की कोई बात, उपधारा (1) के अधीन इस प्रकार अनुज्ञात किए गए व्यक्ति को ऐसे साक्षी के साक्ष्य के किसी भाग का अवलम्ब लेने के हक से वंचित नहीं करेगी।
