Section 144 Contract Act 1872 :Guarantee on contract that creditor shall not act on it until co-surety joins - Where a person gives a guarantee upon a contract that the creditor shall not act upon it until another person has joined in it as co-surety, the guarantee is not valid if that other person does not join.

भारतीय संविदा अधिनियम, 1872 की धारा 144 का विवरण :  -   इस संविदा पर प्रत्याभूति देना कि लेनदार उस पर तब तक कार्य नहीं करेगा जब तक सहप्रतिभू सम्मिलित नहीं हो जाता-- जहाँ कि कोई व्यक्ति इस संविदा पर प्रत्याभूति देता है कि लेनदार उस पर तब तक कार्य नहीं करेगा जब तक कि कोई अन्य व्यक्ति सह-प्रतिभू के रूप में उसमें सम्मिलित नहीं हो जाता, वहाँ यदि वह अन्य व्यक्ति सम्मिलित नहीं होता तो वह प्रत्याभूति विधिमान्य नहीं है
