Section 135 Contract Act 1872 :Discharge of surety when creditor compounds with, gives time to, or agrees not to sue, principal debtor - A contract between the creditor and the principal debtor, by which the creditor makes a composition with, or promises to give time to, or not to sue, the principal debtor, discharges the surety, unless the surety assents to such contract.

भारतीय संविदा अधिनियम, 1872 की धारा 135 का विवरण :  -  प्रतिभू का उन्मोचन जबकि लेनदार मूल ऋणी के साथ प्रशमन करता है, उसे समय देता है या उस पर वाद न लाने का करार करता है -- लेनदार और मूल ऋणी के बीच ऐसी संविदा, जिससे लेनदार मूल ऋणी के साथ समझौता कर लेता है या उसे समय देने या उस पर वादन लाने का वचन देता है, प्रतिभू को तब तक के सिवाय उन्मोचित कर देती है, जबकि प्रतिभू ऐसी संविदा के लिए अनुमति दे देता है।
