Section 37 The Trade Marks Act, 1999:
Power of registered proprietor to assign and give receipts.—The person for the time being entered in the register as proprietor of a trade mark shall, subject to the provisions of this Act and to any rights appearing from the register to be vested in any other person, have power to assign the trade mark, and to give effectual receipts for any consideration for such assignment.

रजिस्ट्रीकृत स्वत्वधारी की समनुदेशन करने और रसीद देने की शक्ति-उस व्यक्ति को, जो रजिस्टर में तत्समय व्यापार चिह्न के स्वत्वधारी के रूप में प्रविष्ट है, इस अधिनियम के उपबंधों और रजिस्टर से किसी अन्य व्यक्ति में निहित प्रतीत होने वाले अधिकारों के अधीन, व्यापार चिह्न के समनुदेशन की और ऐसे समनुदेशन के लिए किसी प्रतिफल के लिए प्रभावी रसीदें देने की शक्ति होगी ।
