Section 7 Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 in Hindi and English



Section 7 of MV Act 1988 :- Restrictions on the granting of learner's licences for certain vehicles -- (1) No person shall be granted a learner's licence to drive a transport vehicle unless he has held a driving licence to drive a light motor vehicle for at least one year] :

Provided that nothing contained in this sub-section shall apply to an e-cart or e-rickshaw.

(2) No person under the age of eighteen years shall be granted a learner's licence to drive a motorcycle without gear except with the consent in writing of the person having the care of the person desiring the learner's licence.

मोटर यान अधिनियम, 1988 की धारा 7 का विवरण :  -   कुछ यानों के लिए शिक्षार्थी अनुज्ञप्ति के दिए जाने पर निबंधन -- (1) किसी भी व्यक्ति को परिवहन यान चलाने के लिए शिक्षार्थी अनुज्ञप्ति तब तक नहीं दी जाएगी जब तक कि उसने हल्का मोटर यान चलाने के लिए कम से कम एक वर्ष तक चालन अनुज्ञप्ति धारण नहीं की है :

परंतु इस उपधारा में अंतर्विष्ट कोई बात, ई-गाड़ी या ई-रिक्शा को लागू नहीं होगी ।

(2) अठारह वर्ष से कम आयु के किसी व्यक्ति को बिना गियर वाली मोटर साइकिल को चलाने की शिक्षार्थी अनुज्ञप्ति, अनुज्ञप्ति की वांछा करने वाले व्यक्ति की देख-रेख करने वाले व्यक्ति की लिखित सहमति के बिना नहीं दी जाएगी।
