 Section 98 Indian Evidence Act 1872 in Hindi and English



Section 98 Evidence Act 1872 : Evidence as to meaning of illegible characters, etc. -- Evidence may be given to show the meaning of illegible or not commonly intelligible characters, of foreign, obsolete, technical, local and provincial expressions, of abbreviations and of words used in a peculiar sense.

Illustration

भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम, 1872 की धारा 98 का विवरण :  -  न पढ़ी जा सकने वाली लिपि आदि के अर्थ के बारे में साक्ष्य -- ऐसी लिपि का, जो पढ़ी न जा सके या सामान्यतः समझी न जाती हो, विदेशी, अप्रचलित, पारिभाषिक, स्थानिक और प्रांतीय शब्द प्रयोगों का, संक्षेपाक्षरों का और विशिष्ट भाव में प्रयुक्त शब्दों का अर्थ दर्शित करने के लिए साक्ष्य दिया जा सकेगा।

एक मूर्तिकार, क “मेरी सभी प्रतिमाएँ" ख को बेचने का करार करता है। क के पास प्रतिमान और प्रतिमा बनाने के औजार भी हैं। यह दर्शित कराने के लिए कि वह किसे बेचने का अभिप्राय रखता था, साक्ष्य दिया जा सकेगा।
