Section 44 Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 in Hindi and English



Section 44 of MV Act 1988 :-  Production of vehicle at the time of registration - (1) Subject to such terms and conditions as may be prescribed by the Central Government in this behalf, a motor vehicle sold by an authorised dealer shall not require production before a registering authority for the purposes of registration for the first time.

(2) Subject to such terms and conditions as may be prescribed by the State Government, a person in whose name a certificate of registration has been issued shall not be required to produce the vehicle registered or transferred before a registering authority.

मोटर यान अधिनियम, 1988 की धारा 44 का विवरण :  -   रजिस्ट्रीकरण के समय यान का प्रस्तुत किया जाना -- (1) उन निबंधनों और शर्तों के अधीन रहते हुए, जो इस निमित्त केन्द्रीय सरकार द्वारा विहित की जाएं, किसी प्राधिकृत डीलर द्वारा विक्रय किए गए मोटर यान से पहली बार रजिस्ट्रीकरण के प्रयोजन के लिए रजिस्ट्रीकरण प्राधिकारी के समक्ष उसे प्रस्तुत करने की अपेक्षा नहीं होगी।

(2) उन निबंधनों और शर्तों के अधीन रहते हुए, जो राज्य सरकार द्वारा विहित की जाएं, कोई व्यक्ति, जिसके नाम से रजिस्ट्रीकरण प्रमाणपत्र जारी किया गया है, से रजिस्ट्रीकरण प्राधिकारी के समक्ष रजिस्ट्रीकृत या अंतरित वाहन को प्रस्तुत करने की अपेक्षा नहीं होगी ।
