Section 262 of CrPC 1973 :- 262. Procedure for summary trials - (1) In trials under this Chapter, the procedure specified in this Code for the trial of summons-case shall be followed except as hereinafter mentioned.

(2) No sentence of imprisonment for a term exceeding three months shall be passed in the case of any conviction under this Chapter

दंड प्रक्रिया संहिता 1973 की धारा 262 का विवरण :  -  262. संक्षिप्त विचारण की प्रक्रिया -- (1) इस अध्याय के अधीन विचारणों में इसके पश्चात् इसमें जैसा वर्णित है उसके सिवाय, इस संहिता में समन-मामलों के विचारण के लिए विनिर्दिष्ट प्रक्रिया का अनुसरण किया जाएगा।

(2) तीन मास से अधिक की अवधि के लिए कारावास का कोई दण्डादेश इस अध्याय के अधीन किसी दोषसिद्धि के मामले में न दिया जाएगा।
