Section 194A of MV Act 1988 :- Carriage of excess passengers -- Whoever drives a transport vehicle or causes or allows a transport vehicle to be driven while carrying more passengers than is authorised in the registration certificate of such transport vehicle or the permit conditions applicable to such transport vehicle shall be punishable with a fine of two hundred rupees per excess passenger:

Provided that such transport vehicle shall not be allowed to move before the excess passengers are off-loaded and an alternative transport is arranged for such passengers.

मोटर यान अधिनियम, 1988 की धारा 194क का विवरण :  -  अधिक यात्रियों का वहन -- जो कोई, किसी ऐसे परिवहन यान को उस समय चलाता है या परिवहन यान को चलवाता है या चलवाए जाने के लिए अनुज्ञात करता है जब ऐसे परिवहन यान की रजिस्टीकरण प्रमाणपत्र में या ऐसे परिवहन यान को लागू अनुज्ञप्ति शर्तों प्राधिकृत यात्रियों से अधिक यात्रियों का वहन किया जाता है तो वह दो सौ रुपए प्रति अधिक व्यक्ति के जुर्माने से दंडनीय होगा :

परंतु ऐसे मोटर यान को चलने के लिए तब तक अनुज्ञात नहीं किया जाएगा जब तक कि अधिक यात्रियों को नहीं उतार दिया जाता है और ऐसे यात्रियों के लिए वैकल्पिक परिवहन की व्यवस्था नहीं कर दी जाती है।
