Section 192 of CrPC 1973 :- 192. Making over of cases to Magistrates —

(1) Any Chief Judicial Magistrate may, after taking cognizance of an offence, make over the case for inquiry or trial to any competent Magistrate subordinate to him.

(2) Any Magistrate of the first class empowered in this behalf by the Chief Judicial Magistrate may, after taking cognizance of an offence, make over the case for inquiry or trial to such other competent Magistrate as the Chief Judicial Magistrate may, by general or special order, specify and thereupon such Magistrate may hold the inquiry or trial.

दंड प्रक्रिया संहिता 1973 की धारा 192 का विवरण :  -  192. मामले मजिस्ट्रेटों के हवाले करना -

(1) कोई मुख्य न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट, अपराध का संज्ञान करने के पश्चात् मामले को जांच या विचारण के लिए अपने अधीनस्थ किसी सक्षम मजिस्ट्रेट के हवाले कर सकता है।

(2) मुख्य न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट द्वारा इस निमित्त सशक्त किया गया कोई प्रथम वर्ग मजिस्ट्रेट अपराध का संज्ञान करने के पश्चात् मामले को जांच या विचारण के लिए अपने अधीनस्थ किसी ऐसे सक्षम मजिस्ट्रेट के हवाले कर सकता है। जिसे मुख्य न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट साधारण या विशेष आदेश द्वारा विनिर्दिष्ट करे, और तब ऐसा मजिस्ट्रेट जांच या विचारण कर सकता है।
