Section 186 Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 in Hindi and English

Section 186 of MV Act 1988 :- Driving when mentally or physically unfit to drive -- Whoever drives a motor vehicle in any public place when he is to his knowledge suffering from any disease or disability calculated to cause his driving of the vehicle to be a source of danger to the public, shall be punishable for the first offence with fine which may extend to one thousnad rupees and for a second or subsequent offence with fine which may extend to two thousnad rupees.

मोटर यान अधिनियम, 1988 की धारा 186 का विवरण :  -  मोटर यान चलाने के लिए मानसिक या शारीरिक रूप से अयोग्य होते हुए यान चलाना -- जो कोई किसी सार्वजनिक स्थान में उस समय मोटर यान चलाएगा जब उसे इस बात का ज्ञान है कि वह किसी ऐसे रोग या निःशक्तता से ग्रस्त है जिसके परिणामस्वरूप यान का उसके द्वारा चलाया जाना साधारण जनता के लिए खतरे का कारण हो सकता है, वह प्रथम अपराध के लिए जुर्माने से, जो एक हजार रुपए तक का हो सकेगा तथा द्वितीय या पश्चात्वर्ती अपराध के लिए जुर्माने से, जो दो हजार रुपए तक का हो सकेगा, दण्डनीय होगा ।
