Section 137 Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 in Hindi and English



Section 137 of MV Act 1988 :- Power of Central Government to make rules -- The Central Government may make rules to provide for all or any of the following matters, namely :-

(a) the occasions on which signals shall be made by drivers of motor vehicles and such signals under section 121;

(aa) providing for the standards of protective headgear and measures for the safety of children below the age of four years riding under section 129;

(b) the manner in which the licences and certificates may be produced to the police officer under section 130;

(c) providing for limits of urban city by the State Governments under sub section (1) of section 136A; and

(d) providing for electronic monitoring and enforcement under sub-section (2) of section 136A.

मोटर यान अधिनियम, 1988 की धारा 137 का विवरण :  -  केन्द्रीय सरकार की नियम बनाने की शक्ति -- केन्द्रीय सरकार, निम्नलिखित सभी बातों या उनमें से किसी का उपबंध करने के लिए नियम बना सकेगी, अर्थात् :-

(क) ऐसे अवसर जिन पर मोटर यानों के ड्राइवरों द्वारा संकेत किए जाएंगे और धारा 121 के अधीन ऐसे संकेत;

(कक) धारा 129 के अधीन सुरक्षात्मक सिर के पहनावे के मानकों और सवारी करने वाले चार वर्ष से कम आयु के बालकों की सुरक्षा हेतु उपायों का उपबंध करने;

(ख) वह रीति जिससे धारा 130 के अधीन पुलिस अधिकारी को अनुज्ञप्तियां और प्रमाण-पत्र पेश किए जा सकेंगे;

(ग) राज्य सरकारों द्वारा धारा 136क की उपधारा (1) के अधीन नगरों की सीमाओं का उपबंध करना; और

(घ) धारा 136क की उपधारा (2) के अधीन इलेक्ट्रॉनिक मानीटरी और प्रवर्तन के लिए उपबंध करना
