Section 10 Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 in Hindi and English


Section 10 of MV Act 1988 :-  Form and contents of licences to drive -- (1) Every learner's licence and driving licence, except a driving licence issued under section 18, shall be in such form and shall contain such information as may be prescribed by the Central Government.

(2) A learner's licence or, as the case may be, driving licence shall also be expressed as entitling the holder to drive a motor vehicle of one or more of the following classes, namely :-

(a) motor cycle without gear;

(b) motor cycle with gear;

(c) adapted vehicle;

(d) light motor vehicle;

[(e) transport vehicle;

(i) road-roller;

(j) motor vehicle of a specified description.

मोटर यान अधिनियम, 1988 की धारा 10 का विवरण :  -  चालन-अनुज्ञप्ति का प्ररूप और अंतर्वस्तु -- धारा 18 के अधीन दी गई चालन अनुज्ञप्ति के सिवाय प्रत्येक शिक्षार्थी अनुज्ञप्ति और चालन-अनुज्ञप्ति ऐसे प्ररूप में होगी और उसमें ऐसी जानकारी अन्तर्विष्ट होगी, जो केन्द्रीय सरकार द्वारा विहित की जाए ।

(2) यथास्थिति, शिक्षार्थी अनुज्ञप्ति या चालन-अनुज्ञप्ति में यह भी अभिव्यक्त किया गया होगा कि धारक निम्नलिखित वर्गों में से एक या अधिक वर्ग का मोटर यान चलाने का हकदार है, अर्थात् :-

(क) बिना गियर वाली मोटर साइकिल;

(ख) गियर वाली मोटर साइकिल;

(ग) रूपांतरित यान;

(घ) हल्का मोटर यान;

(ङ) परिवहन यान;

(झ) रोड रोलर;  

(ञ) किसी विनिर्दिष्ट प्रकार का मोटर यान ।
