Section 40A The Factories Act, 1948 :
Maintenance of buildings.—If it appears to the Inspector that any building or part of a building in a factory is in such a state of disrepair as is likely to lead to conditions detrimental to the health and welfare of the workers, he may serve on the occupier or manager or both of the factory an order in writing specifying the measures which in his opinion should be taken and requiring the same to be carried out before such date as is specified in the order.

कारखाना अधिनियम, 1948 की धारा 40 क का विवरण -
भवनों का अनुरक्षण-यदि निरीक्षक को यह प्रतीत होता है कि किसी कारखाने में कोई भवन या भवन का भाग ऐसी बेमरम्मती की दशा में है जिससे कर्मकारों के स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण के लिए हानिकारक स्थिति उत्पन्न होने की सम्भाव्यता है तो वह उस कारखाने के अधिष्ठाता या प्रबन्धक पर या दोनों पर एक लिखित आदेश की तामील कर सकेगा जिसमें वे अध्युपाय विनिर्दिष्ट होंगे जो उसकी राय में किए जाने चाहिएं, और यह अपेक्षा की जाएगी कि वे आदेश में विनिर्दिष्ट तारीख से पूर्व किए जाएं ।
