Section 83 The Trade Marks Act, 1999:
Establishment of Appellate Board1.—The Central Government shall, by notification in the Official Gazette, establish an Appellate Board to be known as the Intellectual Property Appellate Board to exercise the jurisdiction, powers and authority conferred on it by or under this Act.

अपील बोर्ड की स्थापना-केन्द्रीय सरकार, राजपत्र में अधिसूचना द्वारा एक अपील बोर्ड की स्थापना करेगी जिसका नाम बौद्धिक संपदा अपील बोर्ड होगा, जो इस अधिनियम द्वारा या इसके अधीन उसे प्रदत्त अधिकारिता, शक्तियों और प्राधिकार का प्रयोग करेगा ।
