Section 17  Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996: 

Interim measures ordered by arbitral tribunal.—

(1) Unless otherwise agreed by the parties, the arbitral tribunal may, at the request of a party, order a party to take any interim measure of protection as the arbitral tribunal may consider necessary in respect of the subject-matter of the dispute.

(2) The arbitral tribunal may require a party to provide appropriate security in connection with a measure ordered under sub-section (1).

माध्यस्थम् और सुलह अधिनियम, 1996 की धारा 17 का विवरण : 

माध्यस्थम् अधिकरण द्वारा आदिष्ट अंतरिम उपाय-(1) जब तक कि पक्षकारों द्वारा अन्यथा करार न किया गया हो, माध्यस्थम् अधिकरण, किसी पक्षकार के अनुरोध पर, किसी पक्षकार को संरक्षण का कोई ऐसा अंतरिम उपाय करने के लिए जैसा माध्यस्थम् अधिकरण विवाद की विषय-वस्तु के संबंध में आवश्यक समझे, आदेश दे सकेगा ।

(2) माध्यस्थम् अधिकरण, किसी पक्षकार से उपधारा (1) के अधीन आदिष्ट उपाय के संबंध में समुचित सुरक्षा का उपबंध करने की अपेक्षा कर सकेगा ।
