Section 10 Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996:
Number of arbitrators.—
(1) The parties are free to determine the number of arbitrators, provided that such number shall not be an even number.
(2) Failing the determination referred to in sub-section (1), the arbitral tribunal shall consist of a sole arbitrator.

माध्यस्थम् और सुलह अधिनियम, 1996 की धारा 10 का विवरण :
मध्यस्थों की संख्या-(1) पक्षकार मध्यस्थों की संख्या अवधारित करने के लिए स्वतंत्र हैं परन्तु ऐसी संख्या, कोई सम संख्या नहीं होगी ।
(2) उपधारा (1) में निर्दिष्ट अवधारण करने में असफल रहने पर माध्यस्थम् अधिकरण एकमात्र मध्यस्थ से मिलकर बनेगा ।
