Section 342 IPC in Hindi and English



Section 342 of IPC 1860:-Punishment for wrongful confinement -

Whoever wrongfully confines any person shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.

जो कोई किसी व्यक्ति का सदोष परिरोध करेगा, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि एक वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, या जुर्माने से, जो एक हजार रुपए तक का हो सकेगा, या दोनों से, दण्डित किया जाएगा।
