Section 495 IPC in Hindi and English



Section 495 of IPC 1860:- Same offence with concealment of former marriage from person with whom subsequent marriage is contracted -

Whoever commits the offence defined in the last preceding section having concealed from the person with whom the subsequent marriage is contracted, the fact of the former marriage, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.

आईपीसी, 1860 (भारतीय दंड संहिता) की धारा 495 का विवरण -  वही अपराध पूर्ववर्ती विवाह को उस व्यक्ति को छिपाकर जिसके साथ पश्चात्वर्ती विवाह किया जाता है -

जो कोई पूर्ववर्ती अंतिम धारा में परिभाषित अपराध अपने पूर्व विवाह की बात उस व्यक्ति से छिपाकर करेगा, जिससे पश्चात्वर्ती विवाह किया जाए, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि दस वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, दण्डित किया जाएगा और जुर्माने से भी दण्डनीय होगा।
