Section 485 of IPC 1860:- Making or possession of any instrument for counterfeiting a property mark -

Whoever makes or has in his possession any die, plate or other instrument for the purpose of counterfeiting a property mark, or has in his possession a property mark for the purpose of denoting that any goods belong to a person to whom they do not belong, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years or with fine, or with both.

आईपीसी, 1860 (भारतीय दंड संहिता) की धारा 485 का विवरण - संपत्ति चिन्ह के कूटकरण के लिए कोई उपकरण बनाना या उस पर कब्जा -

जो कोई संपत्ति चिन्ह के कूटकरण के प्रयोजन से कोई डाई, पट्टी या अन्य उपकरण बनाएगा या अपने कब्जे में रखेगा, अथवा यह द्योतन करने के प्रयोजन से कि कोई माल ऐसे व्यक्ति का है, जिसका वह नहीं है, किसी संपत्ति चिन्ह को अपने कब्जे में रखेगा, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि तीन वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, या जुर्माने से, या दोनों से दंडित किया जाएगा।
