 Section 438 IPC in Hindi and English



Section 438 of IPC 1860:- Punishment for the mischief described in section 437 committed by fire or explosive substance -

Whoever commits, or attempts to commit, by fire or any explosive substance, such mischief as is described in the last preceding section, shall be punished with imprisonment for life, or with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.

आईपीसी, 1860 (भारतीय दंड संहिता) की धारा 438 का विवरण - धारा 437 में वर्णित अग्नि या विस्फोटक पदार्थ द्वारा की गई रिष्टि के लिए दण्ड -

जो कोई अग्नि या किसी विस्फोटक पदार्थ द्वारा ऐसी रिष्टि करेगा या करने का प्रयत्न करेगा, जैसी अन्तिम पूर्ववर्ती धारा में वर्णित है, वह आजीवन कारावास से, या दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि दस वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, दण्डित किया जाएगा और जुर्माने से भी दण्डनीय होगा।
