Section 434 of IPC 1860:- Mischief by destroying or moving, etc., a land-mark fixed by public authority -
Whoever commits mischief by destroying or moving any land-mark fixed by the authority of a public servant, or by any act which renders such landmark less useful as such, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.

जो कोई लोक-सेवक के प्राधिकार द्वारा लगाए गए किसी भूमि चिन्ह के नष्ट करने या हटाने द्वारा अथवा कोई ऐसा कार्य करने द्वारा, जिससे ऐसा भूमि चिन्ह, ऐसे भूमि चिन्ह के रूप में कम उपयोगी बन जाए, रिष्टि करेगा, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि एक वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, या जुर्माने से, या दोनों से, दण्डित किया जाएगा।
