Section 17 Bonded Labour System Abolition Act 1976: 

Punishment for advancement of bonded debt.—Whoever ad­vances, after the commencement of this Act, any bonded debt shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years and also with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees.
