Section 180 of IPC 1860:-Refusing to sign statement -

Whoever refuses to sign any statement made by him, when required to sign that statement by a public servant legally competent to require that he shall sign that statement, shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees, or with both.

आईपीसी, 1860 (भारतीय दंड संहिता) की धारा 180 का विवरण -कथन पर हस्ताक्षर करने से इंकार -

जो कोई अपने द्वारा किए गए किसी कथन पर हस्ताक्षर करने को ऐसे लोक-सेवक द्वारा अपेक्षा किए जाने पर, जो उससे यह अपेक्षा करने के लिए वैध रूप से सक्षम हो कि वह उस कथन पर हस्ताक्षर करे, उस कथन पर हस्ताक्षर करने से इंकार करेगा, वह सादा कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि तीन मास तक की हो सकेगी, या जुर्माने से, जो पांच सौ रुपए तक का हो सकेगा, या दोनों से, दण्डित किया जाएगा।
