 Decision in Coal Block Allocation Case -

On 25th August, 2014, in the case of Manohar Lal Sharma v. The Principal Secretary & Ors. [Writ Petition (Crl.) No.120 of 2012], it was held that the allotment of coal blocks by the Screening Committee of the Government of India, as also the allotments made through the Government dispensation route for the period 1993 to 2010 were arbitrary and illegal.
