 Rajeev Kumar Gupta & Others vs Union of India - Supreme Court Important Judgment 2016 - 

 

On 30th June, 2016, in the case of Rajeev Kumar Gupta & Others vs Union of India & Others [Writ Petition (Civil) No.521 of 2008], the Court directed the Government to extend three percent reservation to ‘persons with disability’ (“PWD”) as defined under Section 2(t) of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 “in all IDENTIFIED POSTS in Group A and Group B, irrespective of the mode of filling up of such posts.”
