 Section 49 The Factories Act, 1948 : 

 Welfare officers.—

(1) In every factory wherein five hundred or more workers are ordinarily employed the occupier shall employ in the factory such number of welfare officers as may be prescribed.

(2) The State Government may prescribe the duties, qualifications and conditions of service of officers employed under sub-section (1).

कारखाना अधिनियम, 1948 की धारा 49 का विवरण - 

कल्याण अधिकारी-(1) हर कारखाने में, जिसमें पांच सौ या उससे अधिक कर्मकार मामूली तौर पर नियोजित किए जाते हैं, अधिष्ठाता कारखाने में इतने कल्याण अधिकारी नियोजित करेगा जितने विहित किए जाएं । 

(2) राज्य सरकार उपधारा (1) के अधीन नियोजित अधिकारियों के कर्तव्य, अर्हताएं और सेवा की शर्तें विहित कर सकेगी ।
