 Section 80  Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996: 

Role of conciliator in other proceedings.—Unless otherwise agreed by the parties,—

(a) the conciliator shall not act as an arbitrator or as a representative or counsel of a party in any arbitral or judicial proceeding in respect of a dispute that is the subject of the conciliation proceedings;

(b) the conciliator shall not be presented by the parties as a witness in any arbitral or judicial proceedings.

माध्यस्थम् और सुलह अधिनियम, 1996 की धारा 80 का विवरण : 

अन्य कार्यवाहियों में सुलहकर्ता की भूमिका-जब तक कि पक्षकारों द्वारा अन्यथा करार न किया गया हो,-

(क) सुलहकर्ता किसी ऐसे विवाद के बारे में जो किसी सुलह कार्यवाही को विषय-वस्तु है, किसी माध्यस्थम् या न्यायिक कार्यवाही में माध्यस्थम् के रूप में या किसी पक्षकार के प्रतिनिधि या परामर्शी के रूप में कार्य नहीं करेगा ;

(ख) पक्षकारों द्वारा सुलहकर्ता को किसी माध्यस्थम् या न्यायिक कार्यवाहियों में साक्षी के रूप में पेश नहीं किया जाएगा ।
