Section 74  Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996: 

Status and effect of settlement agreement.—The settlement agreement shall have the same status and effect as if it is an arbitral award on agreed terms on the substance of the dispute rendered by an arbitral tribunal under section 30.

समझौता करार की प्रास्थिति और प्रभाव-समझौता करार की वही प्रास्थिति और प्रभाव होगा मानो वह विवाद के सार पर करार पाए गए निबन्धनों पर धारा 30 के अधीन किसी माध्यस्थम् अधिकरण द्वारा दिया गया कोई माध्यस्थम् पंचाट है ।
