Section 323 of IPC 1860:-Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt -

Whoever, except in the case provided for by section 334, voluntarily causes hurt, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.

आईपीसी, 1860 (भारतीय दंड संहिता) की धारा 323 का विवरण -स्वेच्छया उपहति कारित करने के लिए दण्ड -

उस दशा के सिवाय, जिसके लिए धारा 334 में उपबंध है, जो कोई स्वेच्छया उपहति कारित करेगा, वह दोनों में से किसी भाँति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि एक वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, या जुर्माने से, जो एक हजार रुपये तक का हो सकेगा, या दोनों से, दण्डित किया जाएगा।
