Section 58 Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 :When a negotiable instrument has been lost, or has been obtained from any maker. acceptor or holder thereof by means of an offence or fraud, or for an unlawful consideration, no possessor or indorsee who claims through the person who found or so obtained the instrument is entitled to receive the amount due thereon from such maker, acceptor or holder, or from any party prior to such holder, unless such possessor or indorsee is, or some person through whom he claims was, a holder thereof in due course,

परक्राम्य लिखत अधिनियम, 1881 की धारा 58 का विवरण :  - जब कि परक्राम्य लिखत खो गई है या उसके किसी रचयिता, प्रतिगृहीता या धारक से अपराध या कपट द्वारा या विधिविरुद्ध प्रतिफल के लिए अभिप्राप्त की गई है तब जिस व्यक्ति ने लिखत को पाया था या ऐसे अभिप्राप्त किया था उससे व्युत्पन्न अधिकार से दावा करने वाला कोई कब्जाधारी या पृष्ठांकिती उस पर शोध्य रकम को ऐसे रचयिता, प्रतिगृहीता या धारक से या ऐसे धारक के पूर्विक किसी भी पक्षकार से उस दशा के सिवाय प्राप्त करने का हकदार नहीं है जिसमें कि ऐसा कब्जाधारी या पृष्ठांकिती या वह कोई व्यक्ति, जिससे व्युत्पन्न अधिकार से वह दावा करता है, उसका सम्यक्-अनुक्रम-धारक है या था ।
