Section 140 The Army Act, 1950  :Presumption as to signatures. In any proceeding under this Act, any application, certificate, warrant, reply or other document purporting to be signed by an officer in the service of the Government shall, on production, be presumed to have been duly signed by the person by whom and in the character in which it purports to have been signed, until the contrary is shown.

सेना अधिनियम, 1950 की धारा 140 का विवरण :  - हस्ताक्षरों के बारे में उपधारणा - इस अधिनियम के अधीन की किसी भी कार्यवाही में कोई भी ऐसा आवेदन, प्रमाणपत्र, वारण्ट, उत्तर या अन्य दस्तावेज, जिसका सरकार की सेवा में के किसी आफिसर द्वारा हस्ताक्षरित होना तात्पर्यित है, पेश किए जाने पर, यह बात, जब तक तत्प्रतिकूल साबित न कर दी जाए, उपधारित की जाएगी कि वह उस व्यक्ति द्वारा और उस हैसियत में सम्यक् रूप में हस्ताक्षरित की गई है जिसके द्वारा और जिस हैसियत में उसका हस्ताक्षरित किया जाना तात्पर्यित है।
