Section 336 of CrPC 1973 :- 336. Power of State Government to empower officer in charge to discharge - The State Government may empower the officer in charge of the jail in which a person is confined under the provisions of section 330 or section 335 to discharge all or any of the functions of the Inspector-General of Prisons under section 337 or section 338.

336. भारसाधक अधिकारी को कृत्यों का निर्वहन करने के लिए सशक्त करने की राज्य सरकार की शक्ति -- राज्य सरकार उस जेल के भारसाधक अधिकारी को, जिसमें कोई व्यक्ति धारा 330 या धारा 335 के उपबंधों के अधीन परिरुद्ध है, धारा 337 या धारा 338 के अधीन कारागारों के महानिरीक्षक के सब कृत्यों को या उनमें से किसी का निर्वहन करने के लिए सशक्त कर सकती है।
