Section 224 of CrPC 1973 :- 224. Withdrawal of remaining charges on conviction on one of several charges - When a charge containing more heads than one is framed against the same person, and when a conviction has been had on one or more of them, the complainant, or the officer conducting the prosecution, may, with the consent of the Court, withdraw the remaining charge or charges, or the Court of its own accord may stay the inquiry into, or trial of, such charge or charges and such charge or charges and such withdrawal shall have the effect of an acquittal on such charge or charges, unless the conviction be set aside, in which case the said Court (subject to the order of the Court setting aside the conviction) may proceed with the inquiry into, or trial of, the charge or charges so withdrawn.

दंड प्रक्रिया संहिता 1973 की धारा 224 का विवरण :  -  224. कई आरोपों में से एक के लिए दोषसिद्धि पर शेष आरोपों को वापस लेना -- जब एक ही व्यक्ति के विरुद्ध ऐसा आरोप विरचित किया जाता है जिसमें एक से अधिक शीर्ष हैं और जब उनमें से एक या अधिक के लिए, दोषसिद्धि कर दी जाती है तब परिवादी, या अभियोजन का संचालन करने वाला अधिकारी न्यायालय की सम्मति से शेष आरोप या आरोपों को वापस ले सकता है अथवा न्यायालय ऐसे आरोप या आरोपों की जांच या विचारण स्वप्रेरणा से रोक सकता है और ऐसे वापस लेने का प्रभाव ऐसे आरोप या आरोपों से दोषमुक्ति होगा; किन्तु यदि दोषसिद्धि अपास्त कर दी जाती है तो उक्त न्यायालय (दोषसिद्धि अपास्त करने वाले न्यायालय के आदेश के अधीन रहते हुए) ऐसे वापस लिए गए आरोप या आरोपों की जांच या विचारण में आगे कार्यवाही कर सकता है।
