Section 83 of IPC 1860:- Act of a child above seven and under twelve of immature understanding -

Nothing is an offence which is done by a child above seven years of age and under twelve, who has not attained sufficient maturity of understanding to judge of the nature and consequences of his conduct on that occasion.

कोई बात अपराध नहीं है, जो सात वर्ष से ऊपर और बारह वर्ष से कम आयु के ऐसे शिशु द्वारा की जाती है जिसकी समझ इतनी परिपक्व नहीं हुई है कि वह उस अवसर पर अपने आचरण की प्रकृति और परिणामों का निर्णय कर सके।
