Section 174A of IPC 1860:-  Non-appearance in response to a proclamation under section 82 of Act 2 of 1974 -

Whoever fails to appear at the specified place and the specified time as required by a proclamation published under sub-section (1) of section 82 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974) shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or with fine or with both, and where a declaration has been made under sub-section (4) of that section pronouncing him as a proclaimed offender, he shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years and shall also be liable to fine.

आईपीसी, 1860 (भारतीय दंड संहिता) की धारा 174क का विवरण - 1974 के अधिनियम 2 की धारा 82 के अधीन किसी उद्घोषणा के उत्तर में गैरहाज़िरी -

जो कोई दण्ड प्रक्रिया संहिता, 1973 (1974 का 2) की धारा 82 की उपधारा (1) के अधीन प्रकाशित किसी उद्घोषणा की अपेक्षानुसार विनिर्दिष्ट समय पर हाजिर होने में असफल रहता है, तो वह कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि तीन वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी या जुर्माने से या दोनों से दण्डित किया जाएगा और जहाँ उस धारा की उपधारा (4) के अधीन कोई ऐसी घोषणा की गई है जिसमें उसे उद्घोषित अपराधी के रूप में घोषित किया गया है, वहाँ वह कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि सात वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी दण्डित किया जाएगा और जुर्माने का भी दायी होगा।
