धारा 1 का विवरण

भारतीय दंड संहिता की धारा 1 के अनुसार, यह अधिनियम भारतीय दण्ड संहिता कहलाएगा, और इसका [विस्तार [जम्मू-कश्मीर राज्य के सिवाय] सम्पूर्ण भारत पर होगा ] ।


Section 1 of Indian Penal Code

Title and extent of operation of the Code

This Act shall be called the Indian Penal Code, and shall extend to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir.


Note: Section one of Indian Penal Code 1860 describes about the Title of IPC, its extent and operation in India.
