Article 45 in The Indian Constitution

Provision for free and compulsory education for children The State shall endeavour to provide, within a period of ten years from the commencement of this Constitution, for free and compulsory education for all children until they complete the age of fourteen years

Article 45 in Hindi - भारतीय संविधान का अनुच्छेद 45 का विवरण - बालकों के लिए निःशुल्क और अनिवार्य शिक्षा का उपबंध

राज्य, इस संविधान के प्रारंभ से दस वर्ष की अवधि के भीतर सभी बालकों को चौदह वर्ष की आयु पूरी करने तक, निःशुल्क और ओंनवार्य शिक्षा देने के लिए उपबंध करने का प्रयास करेगा।

संविधान (छियासीवाँ संशोधन) अधिनियम, 2002 की धारा 3 के प्रवर्तित होने पर अनुच्छेद 45 के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित प्रतिस्थापित किया जाएग:
''45. छह वर्ष से कम आयु के बालकों के लिए प्रारंभिक बाल्यावस्था देख-रेख और शिक्षा का उपबंध--राज्य सभी बालकों के लिए छह वर्ष की आयु पूरी करने तक, प्रारंभिक बाल्यावस्था देख-रेख और शिक्षा देने के लिए उपबंध करने का प्रयास करेगा।'' ।
